Catalysing the restoration of nature in the Wye Valley and surrounds.
The Wye Valley and its river is one of Britain’s most special environments. We hope to help restore some of its natural beauty through increasing the number and connectivity of wild places along it.
Rewilding is the restoration of natural systems to the environment and aims to yield public goods, including:
Increases in biodiversity, important during a period of shocking national decline
Sequestration of carbon in the vegetation and soil layers
Flood mitigation and improvement in water quality - an increasing problem along the Wye
Natural space open for people to visit and enjoy this wonderful place and enjoy the mental health benefits contact with nature has been shown to provide.
